Rodeo Film Debut in "PUNCH"

Brent Amaker and the Rodeo film debut! Rock’n’roll slasher flick “PUNCH” screens in Seattle
Where: Elks Lodge, 301 Queen Anne Ave. N (near Key Arena) When: Saturday, June 6 – 8pm.
Seattle country band Brent Amaker and the Rodeo are appearing in “Punch” a zombie/slasher/hotrod movie by independent director Jay Cynik, showing in Seattle on Saturday, June 6th.

“We play the house band for a zombie bar brawl – I think. My memory is fuzzy,” says Brent. “The 24 hour
s we spent working on Punch were insane. Showing up on that set was like landing on a different planet. Here’s what I remember: tits, pools of blood, and a weird kid with a corndog.”

In exchange for appearing in Punch, Cynik directed a video for the Rodeo’s “I’m the Man Who Writes the Country Hits,” a not-for-the-squeamish piece that includes many scenes from the film.

“Jay is a crazy high-energy motherfucker. During shooting of the movie, working
20-hour days and putting together animated sequences for the film, he found time to make a dance remix of our Hillbilly song. Now there’s talk of a B.A.R. comic book. Jay’s a little scary. He’s our kind of guy.”

Brent Amaker and the Rodeo will be attending “Punch” in their unmistakable black cowboy gear. For your safety, it is requested that you maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from any member of the band.
